Two more patterns have been added to the new Meadowside shop at Payhip. The first has long been a favourite – In the Forest is just two simple blocks in soft greens, browns and creams with swirling leaves quilted in autumnal shades of variegated thread. The quilting designs are included in the pattern.
The second one is called Interlocked Rings. This was a recent workshop at The Corner Patch in Eccleshall where students could choose whether to make the quilt as shown (about 42 x 52 inches) or just make one row as a runner. It probably shouldn’t be your first attempt at a quilt because, although the piecing itself is straightforward, keeping track of the colour placements can be tricky. The pattern in the shop is for the wall-hanging and includes full colour step-by-step instructions for each unit with both diagrams and photos to help keep you on track. This design would be a lovely alternative to Double Wedding Ring for a wedding or anniversary quilt.
